Pre-Cut or Grazing Grass Testing

With some cows out to grass and others that should be soon, you may want to see what your grass quality is like to ensure a correctly balanced ration as they transition to full grazing or maybe you zero graze, so want to balance the ration for this?

If you are on a multicut silage system and looking to cut grass in the next month or so, weather permitting, or on a more traditional system, either way you want to test the nitrate levels in your grass, to ensure that it is safe to cut?

If your answer is yes to any of these questions we can offer you a Fresh Grass testing service, via Trouw Nutrition, with an example result below of a grass sample I took for someone last September, just to give you an idea of the results shown.

Usually, we would get the sample results back the day after they have been sent in the post, so it can just be a quick call to ensure it is safe for cutting, or then talk to your nutritionist to ensure that your buffer and overall diet is correctly balanced.
