DBL Staff Changes

Alison Pickford, Accounts Administrator.
Alison has recently joined DBL as Accounts Administrator, she has over 30 years’ experience in all aspects of accounting, having worked in accounts all her working life, acquiring more knowledge as and when the opportunity arose.  

She started work at the tender age of 18 working for John Jeffery Auctioneers at Salisbury Livestock Market booking in the calves and doing the farm sales etc.  Many years and two grown up children later, life has gone full circle and she is back working with farming.  She takes special pride in balancing the figures and chasing bad debts!

Louise Cox, Sales Manager. 
Following the appointment of Alison, Louise Cox has taken on the role of Sales Manager.   Louise joined DBL in March 2021 initially to provide administration support to the sales team, and to manage the website, newsletter and social media platforms.  During this time Louise has gained a valuable amount of experience sourcing and pricing a vast array of commodities and products.  For the past five months Louise has covered the accounts role, this has enabled her to gain a greater understanding of the business. 

Louise has a sound understanding of different farming practices and products, a farmer’s daughter, she spent her early career working on the family dairy and arable farm in Dorset.  Louise went on to gain Diploma’s in Agriculture, Farm Business Management and Business and Administration. 

Louise is very much looking forward to spending more time on farm, in a customer facing role meeting existing and new clients.
